Our Journey with BioEnergetics
One of the First Whispers:
Years ago, I sat at my desk in the county courthouse with my head in my hands, a toddler with intense allergies we couldn’t get under control, a baby about to be removed from daycare, my own health unraveling, and a whole lot of pressure on our young family.
In that moment, I asked God to come into my life. I didn’t know what He would do, I just knew I needed help.
All I heard was:
“Be patient. I have something big for you.”
And He meant patient. It didn’t happen overnight. Or even in a year. But little by little, the pieces began to shift.
The First Spark
One of the earliest sparks came in the form of something I’d never heard of before: BioEnergetics.
We booked an appointment with a BIE practitioner in Estevan, Ontario. It was just me and the two kids (Brandon was working) and all three of us were scheduled for visits. Crossing the border was its own adventure. The officer seemed to think I might be running from a bad situation in the U.S., traveling alone with two toddlers in the back seat. Without a letter from my husband and with him not answering the phone quickly enough, I had some explaining to do before we were waved through.
The practitioner herself was kind and sweet, calmly working with each of us. She tested and reintroduced the frequencies we were struggling with at the time; for Jack, it was tree allergies; for Kay, amino acids; for me, if I remember correctly, likely molds. She moved through the session with patience, explaining as she went, and creating a space that felt both professional and deeply caring.
During the appointment, I learned something surprising: in Canada, nutritionists could sit for the entry exam and BIE licensure class. I honestly told her I didn’t think that was correct, in the U.S., nutritionists can’t do much without an RD license, but she assured me it was true.
On the car ride home, I kept turning that thought over in my mind. By the time we reached the border again, I realized there was no need to explain anything, the results spoke for themselves. The kids were already showing relief, and even I noticed a difference, though mine was more subtle.
Seeing that change, I wanted to sign up for training right then, and Brandon agreed. But life had another surprise for us, the arrival of Nadeau #5. We decided to wait a year, and when the time was right, I headed back to complete my BIE licensure.
That breakthrough changed everything. It opened my heart to a kind of healing that looks different, healing that honors the body, the spirit, and the complexity of being human. Even if it’s a bit controversial.
BIE Today
Today, BioEnergetic Intolerance Elimination (BIE) is one of the nonprofit services offered through Nadeau Ministries. We offer it on a pay-it-forward model, because relief shouldn’t be reserved only for those who can afford it.
BIE isn’t the whole story. But it was one of the first whispers, the gentle beginnings of a journey that continues to shape how I care for others and how I listen for God’s leading.
